Sounds great Moskito...I'd be interested in the high performance kit...
What calipers do you plan on using..400EX?
I have a template for a bolt on bracket for the 250R caliper...think I have some 3D stuff in CADKEY too. Thebracket that would bolt on to the exsisting spindle would replace the mount built into the 250 R caliper..the one with the 2 slide pins. YOu know what they look like? It was more then I wanted to get into. SO I went the route of hacking out the spindle and building it up in other places so the stock caliper mount would bolt to the spindle. I think you'll find you'll run into issues of getting the caliper in close enough to the center of the hub to match the disc. 400EX and 250R's use the same discs, so they both need to get in the same amount. The 400 EX's will be an easier mount to reproduce..hey..that's the bracket I have drawn up..not the 250R....I've been playing with this for quite awhile...I should go back to P-O.com and search for a date when I first posted....
Anyhow...if you want any info I have let me know, you're welcome to it....can you used CADKEY files?
Price all those parts out....
Are you making the hubs to fit stock wheels? If so that'll save compared to my kit.
I realize the price is steep..but go price out all the parts:
250R calipers
250R hubs
discs
bearings
seals
axle nuts
pads
pilot spindles
rims (red label OMF beadlocks)
tires (RazrII's)
Skeeter if you go with stock rims, that would be good and make it cheaper...400 EX calipers would make it cheaper too. I wanted the dual piston calipers
Realize my price has new rims (beadlocks) and tires which you may not need.
No need to be sorry guys. I know it's a lot of money. Moskiot was asking me what I think a kit would sell for...said I didn't know....first step is getting some numbers out there. If he can't machine the oarts he needs to and make a little it's not worth it for him either.
I think you should consider bolt patterns...YOu can't get beadlocks or any aftermarket rims in 4/110 with stock offsets. 4/144 you have a lot more choices as they are more popular with 4 wheelers.
Just food fot thought guys.
I like this...share info...no bashing...what a concept!
