Will be parting with some FL-400 parts.....
« on: July 02, 2014, 03:19:28 PM »
Not sure of the value of these :
Looking for advice......
Stock head
Cylinder (stock boar)
drive clutch and driven clutch
Engine Cases .
All in good to great shape.
Have no clue of the value.
I don't want to seem like a price gouger and hate the bay.
 Thanks for your help.

When you say "stock bore", has it been sleeved, and how much needs to be taken out to clean it up and useable? Does the cases include all lower end internals such as crank, balancer, and alternator/flywheel?

Stock boar, as in never touched. Ever.......
A hone might suffice but I'd recommend at least a 10,000th
No flywheel ( PO destroyed it ) or starters, That's recoil or electric.
I haven't cracked the cases yet so I can't vouch for the crank or balancer's condition yet , but yes it is all there, as is the mag. I'm waiting for a clutch puller.......
Externally the cases look great with no damage . The mag cover has been removed as has the pull starter and starter gear. The case looks nearly un-used. Hope this helps............

Nice to put a name to a voice.
Excuse my ignorance, Whats a Mudbogger?
I forgot to mention that I will be parting with a stock pipe and silencer as well. Its in pretty good shape. But far from pristine.
Factory 445 :I'll get back in touch with you later . I may end up keeping the clutches as the units on the resto rig look to be a bit sketchy.
If I do, you may want the take offs.
I will also be able to let go of the belt guard and heat shield from the roller to.

I say, GOOD DAY.

Hahaha...well there is this guy (on the other site) his name is Greg. His forum handle is Mudbogger...he is a really nice guy. But he absolutely scoffs up every available part for the FL models any chance he can get...and he is really quick on the draw. He is over here on the East Coast in NJ. Just a little forum humor that's all. :) Anyway YES very good to put a voice to the name...and would be happy to check out the other stuff that is coming from your restoration. We can work something out I'm sure.

Still trying to get the balancing cover to release.
It's really stuck.

Parts are listed in the classified  section.
I posted what appear to be E-bay prices ( nothing else to go on )
I am negotiable on the prices.
I say, GOOD DAY.
