Mileage or gph for FL350
« on: February 19, 2014, 07:50:15 PM »
Hey guys...I finally got my 350 all put back together. It has a 39mm carb, has been ported, liquid cooled head system, and a 6 gallon fuel tank. Any ideas what my gph or mileage might be? Want to take it to Baja to ride but not sure what my range will be down there. Also any ideas what size jets I should run? I'm in Colorado now. Thanks in advance!

Bill

I get around 10mpg with a 38mm Mikuni.  A lot of it depends on your riding style.

I figure you have about an hour and a half of fuel riding hard.

There's no way to give you an accurate answer to the jetting question. All my jetting experience comes from adjusting it to the temperature changes, not altitude, so I have no idea how much that change might require.  Even if I were used to changing for altitude, there are too many variables to that can affect the change. I would take at least the next 5 jet sizes, probably more.

I would start with a 180 main, 45 slow if the carb is a 39 PWK.
