My pilot will not start. Need help.
« on: January 22, 2014, 02:24:57 PM »
Hi all, my pilot acts strange and i need some advice.
I have a great blue spark at the plug, and I have removed the Carb and cleaned it. I noticed that the reed gasket was damaged and repaired by some sort of silicone gasket. I removed it and cleaned it and made both new gaskets of some papergasket material. I have Brand new fuel on it and the fuel pump is working. I have fuel in the Carb.
I try to fire it up and it almost starts and fires up but it lacks the final fire to run. It is so close!!!
It is so close that it gets a bit warm.
What would be your advice?
Any help would be great!

What about compression? 3 things needed to run. Spark, fuel, and compression... You have 2 of them but you need to verify the 3rd before going any farther...
