FL350 Rear Shock Question
« on: October 13, 2013, 10:12:40 AM »

Here's a close up of the top mount of my right rear shock.

It has a valve to release air pressure that I haven't seen on some other FL350's.  Is this a stock shock?  I know the spring is the wrong color to be a stock shock, but as you can imagine, I'm not the first owner, so I don't know whether it has been painted or replaced.

Can anyone tell me how to check to see if it is stock?

It is a modified stock shock. You should spin the adjusters to the lowest spring pre-load setting. If everything else is in working order, replacing them with Works would be high on my list.

The stock rear shocks come apart fairly easy, so its not surprise someone may have opted for a different paint color on the springs.  Mine are Ford blue, and a lot of people automatically think they're Works.
