Why is my Odyssey 350 frame completeley different than others?
« on: February 09, 2013, 12:34:56 AM »
I picked up a Odyssey 350 from a friends shop. The previous owner took it in for some work. (Replace starter, Replace CDI, swap the head to a watercooled one), the owner never paid for the work and told the shop owner that if they don't hear back from him then he doesn't want it.

$700 and its mine.

Anyways, I noticed the frame is completely different than all the pictures I see online of other Odysseys. Some of the quick things I have noticed that are different:

1) The frame bars look a larger diameter.
2) there is a "cross brace" which makes it difficult to enter.
3) The top part above the drivers head is longer front to back.
4) The frame seems shorter (height) or longer (length).
5) There are no bolts securing the "top" portion of the frame to the bottom, everything is welded.
6) There are mounting tabs for body panels or something all over the place. Very much like the quick release tabs for body panels on a race car.

There are many more that i noticed, but I think the rest you will notice from pictures. Sorry they are in the dark, I can take more tomorrow.

Thanks!

Someone welded a different roll cage on and tabs to mount body panels.

Thats what I am assuming too.

The rear portion looks mostly stock, the roll cage is what differs the most.
