I just got my first FL250 this past weekend, and I was wondering what are the best mods to do?

What kind of condition is it in?

You only need two tools in life -- WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape.

Engine runs great starts on first or second pull the only problem that I have found so far is the brakes do not work. I ordered a complet brake assembly off of eBay so that should be fixed soon. As for cosmetics all the plastics are good just a few scratches the frame and cage are rust free and seem to be straight. The only real cosmetic issue is the seat cover is pretty badly torn. I paid $700 for it, it's an 83 seemed like a good deal to me.

I think the better question is, what kind of mods are you WANTING to do????

If it runs good, and has all the fenders, pretty good tires, and isn't beat half to hell, then yeah, $700 is a pretty fair price.

Have you checked to see WHY the brakes aren't working? Just curious....

Congrats on the purchase!
