FL350 rear caliper seals
« on: January 10, 2012, 12:37:28 PM »
I have a 1985 FL350 I just bought. The rear brake caliper needs new seals I understand they are discontinued by Honda so any ideas here from the pros? Thanks
Ron

*As usual I figured it out, The main piston seal was good, the dirt seal was bad and the little O ring,  I went to my stash of O rings and matched them up. The dirt seal was a square o ring and I replaced it with a round O ring it fits and does not leak, I have good authority control on the rear brakes. If any of you have questions let me know and I will do my best.
Thanks
Ron

Be sure to clean out the piston and the walls, I used some very fine sandpaper. As far as the O rings just match them up as close as you can and make sure the piston will go back in the caliper.
