Oddy 350 clutch
« on: September 28, 2010, 08:17:22 AM »
Will a comet 102c clutch off of a snowmobile fit onto the oddy? The guy says that it has a 30mm tapered shaft. I just dont want to have to pay 400-500 bucks for a new one when I can get this one for cheap.

Thanks

Not only does the shaft taper have to be correct, but also the angle of the faces, the open distance between the faces, and the amount the face moves during shifting....Also,the offset has to be correct to ensure it lines up correctly with the driven....Not saying their is not one out there, but I have never heard of one that will work...Some have used different clutches, but you have to get a driven that matches it,and usually have to modify the shaft on the tranny to make it work....
