Hello all!
Some of you may remember I've had difficulties with my Pilot after the belt snapped. I finally gave up trying to fix it and sent it to some professionals.
Basically, it won't rev past a certain level. I'd checked compression, fuel, air, exhaust, spark, reed valve etc.
They stuck it on a diagnostic machine and found out that at 3k revs the electronics are deliberately cutting the spark so it won't rev higher. They believe this is because the revs bounced stupidly high when the belt snapped and the electronics put it into some sort of 'limp home' mode.
The only issue is, they don't know how to get it out of this 'limp home' mode. Has anyone experienced this, and do you know how to reset the thing?
There appears to be no engine damage (it idles fine) so the rev limited worked!
Thanks.
