« on: March 25, 2009, 08:23:59 PM »
i have a 83 fl250 that i resently rebuild and it falls on its face when i go up hill. it has plenty of power and runs great till i point it up hill. it revs up then bogs down i try to play with the throutle but it does the same thing over and over revs then bogs revs then bogs. i cant figure out why it does this. its all stock other then a k@n fillter with no air box.it does it on reserve and when it in the on position. i put a one size bigger main jet and it seemed to run smother but did not fix the problem. does any body have any tips.

It sounds to me as if the driven clutch isn't working correctly. It take a good look at and make sure its functioning correctly.

To do this you can remove the rear belt cover, and put the rear of the buggy on jackstands or something similar. MAKE SURE THE ODYSSEY IS SECURE AND WON'T FALL OR TIP OVER!!!!! Get the odyssey started and run it through the RPM range to see if the rear clutch is shifting(moving) properly.
