Odd Carb issues
« on: February 25, 2007, 01:45:52 AM »
So this weekend we went to Dumont. I had ordered a new Mikuni Carb after calling Randy at odyssey salvage and explaining that my carb was leaking like a madman.

I installed the new carb and couldn't get the Ody started. I finally had to switch over to the old Keihn carb and it started right up. My only thing is it would rev REALLY HIGH. Like it was going to burn up, until we turned on the choke, then it ran just fine.

Any Idea's? My one buddy thought it might have just been jetted on the Lean side. Anyways, just wondering if anyone had experienced anything like this?

Yeah it was just a vacuum leak from the crankcase. Plugged it up and it worked just fine.
