Howdy Bill5me. Welcome to POPS!!!
Please turn off your caps lock when posting - it's not nice to yell at us unless we've (I've?) pissed ya off.
(Hang around long enough and I probably will.... )
Belt squeak - I take it that you have this issue when you take off and once you get moving it goes away?
More than likely you just need to replace the belt. If you don't want to use OEM Honda belts, try a search on belts here, or try the link above to P-O.com and do a search there.
Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with 350's, so I can't give you specifics on the clutches, but,
Are your clutches clean? - do they work correctly?
Put the 350 in neutral, block off the wheels so it can't go anywhere and then rev the engine up (easy application of throttle, not stab at it).
Does the front clutch seem to smoothly engage and start squeezing the belt outward or does it seem like it's sticking as it closes?
Does the rear clutch seem to operate smoothly and let the belt move down into it or does it seem like it's sticking as it opens?
It may be sort of hard to decide which one of them is sticking if the motion of the belt moving on the sheaves (clutch faces) is not smooth, so you may have to watch each clutch closely to see if there is a problem.
Put a straight edge on the faces of the sheaves and check for wear or grooving. You should have fairly straight faces, not bowed away from the straight edge.
What condition is the belt in? Does it seem pliable and flexible or is it dry and crumbly/crusty? What do the edges of the belt (where they ride on the clutch faces) look like? Smooth and shiny? Smooth and sort of dull? Dry and cracked?
They should be smooth and clean looking - sort of like a brand new car tire's tread.
Check this stuff first and then come back with more info and we'll get the squeak to leave your ride.
Once again, WELCOME!!!!
