FL350 front disc conversion

I was reading a reply on Mikes board from you concerning your pilot front disc conversion and have some questions.  Did you use the rotor and hub from a 250R ? If not what did the rotor and hub come from ? Does anyone know if the bearing sizes are the same on the pilot and 350 front spindle?   thanks Jeff

I did use the rotor and hub from a 250R....86-87 are differenet than 88-89's...you need (well this fits for pilot applications) the 86-87's...the hubs have the ring around them connecting the 4 legs with the wheel studs. They have one larger bearing(s..I forget now)...the outer bearing is the same as the pilot one, the inner bearing needs to be replaced....you need to bore the inner bearing boss on the hub out 1mm radial (2mm diameter) to accept the pilots inner bearing. Then they will slip on the pilot spindles.

I LOVE mine :)

I have no clue as to the similiarities between the 350 and the pilot in this respect, hopefully someone else can help you out with that. Need anymore info...got any more questions, let me know.

I've done a second set for Tmans's pilot, I think I have enough parts to do a third set...just need to dedicate the time

from service Honda...looks like the 350 will be easier! through a 86-87 250R hub right on there!

---------------inner bearing-inner seal--outer bearing--outer seal
250R 86-87--6004----------28x42x6----6004u----------28x42x8
250R 88-89--6004----------28x42x6----6202uu---------35x20x7
pilot----------60/22U--------30x44x6----6004-----------28x42x8
350-----------6004----------28X42X8----6004-----------28X42X6

If you want some..I think I have extra hubs and/or discs I may sell.

That will fit on the stock arm on the 350 correct?Thats not with a a-arm fron t kit correct? Will the stock brake lines hook up to the front calipers or are new linew needed, can the lines fron the 250r be used by chance? Thanks for the reply in advance.

No problem  ;)

That's the info for a stock FL350 vs the pilot and the 250R.

I was able to use the stock lines off my pilot, and they reached the calipers..OK....but I've since switched to stainless steel braided lines. There's a good chance the stock 350 lines will reach then as well.....will the 20R lines work??? Don't know if the "T" is set up the same, and the lengths....sorry, not sure there. I have a set of stainless lines from 250R that came with a set of calipers I bought if you're interested in those to try and see.

ups man
