First plan is to completely rebuild the current motor with a 73-74 CR250 cylinder, new bearings, seals, goki starter, and possibly a water cooled head.
I have lots of chassis mods planned as well, but I won't get into them just yet. I'm gonna make you wait until I get a few more parts in hand first.
Here are some pics I took of the engine before and during the top-end removal. The crank runout was .010" and the manual calls for .004" max. The play is all in the main bearings, and after you look at the pics you will see that this engine was in bad need of a rebuild.
