overheating?
« on: September 26, 2004, 07:26:47 AM »
Rebuilt the top end on Ted's Pilot this weekend. Runs good, 155 psi. But it keeps throwing it's coolant out the reserve tank overflow. :? The fan comes on an off, the temp light never comes on, but it'll empty itself out of coolant. Is that a bad rad cap? I disconnected a coolant line from the rad and inserted a garden hose, it flows through the complete system...Water pump shot?

The head gasket is bad! You are pressurizing the coolant system with cylinder pressure.
