users and profiles, topics and posts, attachments were maintained, to the best of my knowledge so far...
try it out report bugs...and I'll get to them ASAP
There are a lot... A LOT of options now for users...if you like it plain, you can make it so...disable calendar, announcments etc....you will still see the posts...just not take up space on the index page....calendar is a drop down option when you turn it off...
There's lots you can add in your profile...lots you can let others see, and limit who sees what...make friend list etc....
to much to list what's all iun here now...what else...
PM's are still here, email via board so your address isn't shown....the calendar..duh...ability to have a post as an announcement to show up (if user has this turned on)...it goes back to normal post after so many days..settable by user.....

thread stay lit up as unread until you read them..old style it forgot once you logged out...now they stay unread unless you read..or click "mark all read" in a forum
quick reply....you can reply on the same screen as reading the post...just below
favourites..mark a thread as a favourite...link up top shows all your favourites...good for storing info you need...whatever..
enhanced user profile...there's a lot in the user profile now..use it or leave it...up to you..
most display of personal info I have turned off, users may turn on as they wish...(email address..etc) show online and accept PM's are on...you may turn these off as well
html,bbc, smilies in posts are turned off, you can turn them on
display avatars, signatures, images are off, you can turn them on
calendar is turned off (to always display) you can turn it on
announce is turned on...you can turn it off

I believe I have the ability now to add fields to a users profile..I want to add a setup section so you can list your machine (maybe multiples) and it's mods if any...
add chat addon...same as on old board I think..it's simple...not the most feature rich...but easier than irc...if it gets used a lot and gets too slow..we'll open an irc channel
make a rules thread....I like to get a community started...and I like to have some admins, moderators etc. label them as you wish..maybe a mech advisor...an electrical advisor...whatever....
I like to add a tech section and have people submit articles to this and have the admins approve them before they get listed
add a section for bashing...if you feel the need...do it in this forum...good idea or no?
mods/admins will be responsible to help maintain site integreity..not me by myself..the more the better...keep things focused..not one man's dream...let's make a friendly site here
