I cannot seem to post a picture of the basic electrical wiring diagram for a 1798 FL250. If anyone can look at one for me and answer this question, it would be a real help.
I am removing the headlight wiring, and am wondering what I do with the yellow wire coming from the crank case. I isolated it, AND I grounded it, and am wondering it this might have anything to do with me getting no spark, when it was getting a spark no problem four months ago when I started the restore of the machine. VERY FRUSTRATING.
Also, does the kill switch work by completing the circuit to ground, or by REMOVING the grounding?

No one?

You need to get the manual. It might be online. Rather than ground the lighting coil, it might be better to remove it from the stator if it is unneeded. I don't think the lighting stator (yellow wire) has to do with the spark. The kill switch works by completing the ground thru the off/run switch. Goodluck.
