It is interesting that the F-5 Bighorn engine used as an example has the same stroke, near the same bore and the same carburetor size as an FL350R. So the examples are directly applicable. I exceed the 9000 redline example on my own machine. I expect one of my engines I built that is still sitting on the bench to turn over 10K. Using the calculation in the book, the Pilot would exceed the 4000fps mark at 8000 rpm mentioned in the other thread.
