I have had my wrenches on a few Fl models up here in New England. I just recently noticed ALOT of wear in the axle carrier and front wheel hubs on Luke's Ody. I had to replace a rear carrier...and when I got that someone had punched some retainer divots all the way around the carrier to aid in retaining a loose bearing. During a general check...found some wiggle from the front bearings as well. So I popped the front drums...removed the grease seals...the rear bearings slid out by hooking my FINGER in and tugging it out.
I just recently used some 609 Loctite on another loose fit bearing on a TTR125 (actually went to the customers house and checked to see how it was holding up) I am considering using it to hold some of these Ody bearings tight. I am not very excited about it...but realistically it would be a major hunt/expense to find some good housings...then get them powdercoated.
Any others had to do this...

It is common enough that I find it pointless to try and replace parts that the bearings are loose in. I use Locktite on them quite often.

Not super happy about it...but its the only way I guess. After paying for a replacement used housing and getting one that was no better...I guess it would be tough to come up with all tight fitting components.
Another question...anybody ever sleeve the casings...I know they are thin cast housings...but guys will try anything lol.

Weld them up and turn them down to size....Would be easier than a sleeve....
