Title: Are reed spacer blocks actually worth any performance?

Scouting around for parts during the rebuild on one of my FL350's. Are the reed spacer blocks from Moose actually worth any real-world horsepower or torque?

From what I've read so far, the general opinion is that they might make up for deficiencies in the intake tract that would be better fixed by some light port work on the intake side of the head. They also might help high end RPM's by slightly increasing the crankcase volume, but that's not what I'm after.

I tried a reed spacer years ago. I saw a loss in power. To see a gain in power by adding crank case volume, you would also have to have a large body pipe. One thing that helps with the reed spacer is it uncovers the rear transfer port that gets covered by the middle reed petal. I run V-Force 3 reeds which are shorter and do the same thing without spacing the carb back.
