Title: deciding which clutch i need

ok i am building a 350 odyssey with a 583 rotax and i dont know much about odysseys because its the first one i have owned. i want to be able to accelerate quickly and be able to ride normal to. what is the difference in the comet 94c and the 102c and is there other clutch options.

The 94c won't handle the horsepower from the rotax. Go with the 102.

how did the commet clutch wrk out? i have a rotax 587 motor but it was out of a seadoo so there is a pto on the end of the crank shaft how do put the clutch on it?

I am in the same boat Hyphen was in or still is, I have a Rotax 587 motor from a Seadoo which i would like to put in a buggy frame i have, it also has the PTO flywheel and i would like a belt clutch instead, i have seen these motors in Snowmobiles with clutches, can anyone help me out please.

The 580 Rotax had the same bottom end as a 583. I believe it was like $125 for the end of the crank. The later sled and PWC engines seemed to diverge, but may still have common components. The Rotax numbers are not displacement, they are model/series numbers. I would start by looking at a type 597 and see if the stroke is the same as a 587. If so, maybe the cranks are interchangeable.
