Title: Keihin Stock Fuel Pump Rebuild kit Instructions
Post by: Weed on February 08, 2009, 02:25:21 PM
I sell the fuel pump rebuild kits for the Honda Odyssey 250 and 350 and some of the guys that have bought them have questions about the installation of the kit.

Well here we go.....

#1.  First off, remove the unit from your machine and clean it up as best as possible.  I use an industrial washing machine to clean it up before dissassembly if needed.

#2.  Remove the 3 screws that mate the part together.

#3.  Scrape off all the gasket material with a gasket scraper or razor blade and be sure not to gouge the aluminum housing because you will ruin it.  YOU MUST BE VERY CAREFULL because the pump will not seal if you gouge the gasket mating surface.

#4.  After cleaning and inspecting the pump, lap the two aluminum sides to make sure they are perfectly flat.  After 20 years and after several owners, sometimes you find that people have taken pumps apart and put them back together.  More times than not these people overtighten the flanges and can warp the pump sides.

Now we are ready to rebuild this pump!!!!  You can click the pictures below to expand the picture size.
