The competition - what else is as good as a Pilot?

Just a fun thread, I'm probably not going to get another buggy in the near future.  I mean, I really enjoyed my FL400 but it was too damned unreliable to be any use to me - I think being a 2-stroke that I only used every couple of months didn't help.  Is there anything else in the same price range that's as much fun?  I'm in the UK and RAGE look cool, but are a bit expensive.

I'd also miss the hand controls.  Why nobody else has adopted these is utterly baffling to me, given the superior control they offer.
