New products?
« on: June 22, 2014, 07:11:09 PM »
Any new products from aftershock coming out?
Any news on the disc brake conversion? Or the long travel rear?
New tubs?
Thanks.

The brake setup got put on hold a while back It is an elaborate setup with new hubs, etc and I have not had time to set it all back up to continue. I have access to some other equipment and I can work on this on and off when I get bits of time.

Great! Always look forward to new items, I think an option for axles would be a hot seller, even from the "other" site.

Steve,
Didn't you used to have a seat and seat mount set up for the 350? A circle track seat?

The next products we will have are a 79.5mm and 82.5mm piston kit for the FL350R and an 82.5mm piston kit for the FL400R. The 79.5mm piston kit will allow anyone with a post recall cylinder still with a Honda piston in it to bore to a size smaller than the 80mm and gain a bore. The 82.5mm kits will allow those with worn out 82s an additional bore.

The 82.5 pistons are in. The Wiseco pistons were always heavier than the Honda pistons and have been getting heavier lately as they reduce their production costs. The new pistons are full mod. They are drilled to cool/lube the exhaust bridge. They are windowed which cools the dome and eye browed to prevent snagging the bottom edge of the intake port. The last two also improve intake flow.

Here are some pistons I weighed today, all FL350R
Honda/Art 80mm: 11.8 oz
Aftershock/Wossner 82.5mm: 11.7 oz
Wiseco 80mm with Aftershock mods 12.8 oz
Wiseco 81.5mm: 14.2 oz

The new pistons are machined inside and out, not just the inside. The wall thickness therefore does not go up on the bigger sizes. Therefore the weight does not go up as much either.

Not only is lighter better for power by reducing reciprocating mass, keeping the weight close to the original reduces vibration. The counter balancer was designed to match up to the original piston weight.
