Hard time shifting and grinding noise on driver side rear please help

I just purchased a 89 pilot. This last time I took it out I noticed a almost grinding noise from the rear and at the same time it is having a very hard time shifting. Any ideas?

The grinding noise is on deceleration and sometimes at idle.

I am guessing one of the clutches is not dis-engaging correctly... The old stock drive clutches tend to get a grinding sound when they get some wear....If it is not dis-engaging,it will cause the driven to spin and will result in hard shifting.....
