Is 16, 1/4 eye to eye to long for the rear? Has anyone tried to use that size?

The U-joints will bind. Off the top of my head, I believe it is 15 something.

Yeah it's 15.
1.25 Inches extra seems to be pushing it. Just thought I'd ask because there's a local Craigs list selling a set for 220.

I have the works series g shocks front and rear and water cooled heads on both my FL350R's and they are definitely the most important upgrades I have made over the years. The difference between the stock shocks and the works is night and day. Yes they are a little pricey but you will absolutely enjoy the difference in ride. As far as the watercooled head goes, it's worth it not to have to worry about overheating issues and get more longevity out of your engine.

The maximum shock length is 15.25".  After that, the U joints will bind.
