I just inherited a almost brand new 1985 FL350R.  It has approximately 10 hours since new and is all stock.  It has not run since 1987 and I had the carb rebuilt and put new gas in it and it runs perfect.  I was wondering if anyone could tell me about how much it might be worth.  I am not sure if I want to sell it or just keep it.  thanks for the help

That's so hard to say. It might be worth $10,000 to the right buyer in the condition you have, but sold no reserve on EBay, it might only bring $1500. My guess it would go for $3000, tops. I would advertise the daylight out of it, take and post as many pictures as I could stand, and parade it in front of as many members of the Odyssey and Pilot community as I could. Then EBay.

The crank seals harden with age, not use. I would highly suggest replacing them.

While interest in these machines has started picking back up, I don't think you'll get near the potential value of it at this point. If trying to get the maximum value, I would wait a year or two. Maybe 7 or 8 if Obama gets reelected.

Thanks for the advice maybe I will just hold onto it for a while and see where the prices on Ebay go.  In the mean time I will see about replacing those seals.
