PWK upgrade

Hi All,

New to the forum and looking for some carby information. Sorry if it's been covered before, I have a Pilot and wanting to upgrade the stock carb to a PWK, I was going to go with the 35mm (easier to fit than the 38-39mm) but can't find any info on what slide or needle to use, any info appreciated. I have dual air intake, ported, stock exhaust, PB clutch.

Also do I go with an Air striker or standard PWK in either a 35mm or 38mm.

The needle and slide in the Air Striker are a good baseline. I forget off hand what the slow jet is, maybe a 48. I remember thinking it is usable but dropping to a 45 may be better. The main jet is also in the ball park, but I would go up a couple sizes and have the one in between on hand as well as a couple sizes smaller to tune it in.

Personally, I would go with the 39 though on a ported engine.

If a go the larger carb 38-39mm will I have to get a different silencer or pipe with better flow

A pipe will add more power just as it would now, but is not needed.

Your porting is pretty much useless as well with the stock pipe....You will see a major increase with a pipe and carb....I run an airstriker and love it.....

Note that the 39 is not an Air Striker. The 35 and 38 are available as an Air Striker. I run the 39 on my Pilot and Odyssey.

Porting will make an improvement in power with the stock pipe, as will the carb. The increase in power when a a pipe is added will just be that much larger with the pipe and porting already done. My own Pilot was ported before the other mods.
