Does my honda odyssey take reeds?
« on: July 13, 2011, 06:15:55 AM »
I recently purchased a honda odyssey.  I am not sure what year it is but is a pretty complete Odyssey.  The person I purchased it from informed me that the engine has been rebuilt however needs reeds before starting.  I have found mixed topics on reeds for fl250's and am confused.  The odyssey is red in color and has a full roll cage so I believe it is a 81 or 82.  It also just does not look like there is alot of room for a reed valve to fit into the cylinder intake.  Any help would appreciated!  Have a great day.

Is the reed cage there? If so,all u need are replacement pedals....Unbolt the intake from the cylinder and see if it's there....If I am not mistaken, certain years of cr250 reeds will work on the 250...

FL250s did not have reeds unless the cylinder has been modified.
