Pilot won't rev up, Wiring issue?
« on: April 17, 2011, 08:39:59 PM »
So I was playing in the snow and I was blasting through some pretty big drifts and getting stuck repeatedly.  After I got unstuck it wouldn't rev up very much and the engine temp and gas lights are flickering at idle.  If I turn off the ignition and back on it I get no lights but it starts up just fine.  Here is the weird part...  If I turn on the head lights the engine temp light and gas light come on and stay on and it runs fine.  I am pretty sure I just have water in a connection and I bet once it drys in the garage it will be fine but I would like to know what connection is causing this so it doesn't happen again.   Any idea?  Has this happened to anyone else?

Also, has anyone done a disk brake conversion by just replacing the whole hub at the ball joints with something from a sport quad?  Just a thought...

check your fuses - in the rear by the battery - remove the blue covers and check the fuses - I bet one or more are blown.

The big questions is why did they blow.

Fl400R front brakes work great when properly adjusted - no need for front disc brakes.
