They require a little more work than orings but outperform them in every way, so check out the install instructions:

I am offering the kit with 2 pieces of gasket only. With a stock flange, you will have a spare and save on shipping next time.

Here is how the gasket will look after its flattened. It actually spreads out over both sides of the groove and covers more surface area than the stock gasket or orings:
