So I forgot to put the cotter pin into the front wheel castle nut when I took it for a quick spin the other day. Fortunately the wheel didn't fall off mid donut, but I have managed to lose the 14 mm castle nut and washer that goes underneath it.
I noticed that the washer is stamped on the outside with "out side" but don't see anything special about either side of the washer.
Does anybody know why/how it matters which way this washer is installed?
