250 atv motor
« on: April 03, 2006, 05:48:42 PM »
Im in the middle of building a 250 4 stroke atv motor for my 79 fl250, the motor is a suzuki quadrunner 250 E.

im gonna get rid of teh CVT all together and just run the 5 speed with auto-clutch that is on teh motor. it sould be good for acceleration and what not, i plan on just making a coupling that goes between the output sproket of the transmission and welding a shaft off that that goes straight into teh real chaincase of the buggy where the secondary clutch used to go.

has anyone ehard of any conversions like this?   please post up what people have done

BTW this buggy will be for sale as soon as i finish the conversion.  brand new fresh rebuild on the motor!,  I'm in the middle of re assembling it right now,  my e-mail is sailman123(AT)hotmail.com  e-mail me if you're interested in the buggy i should be able to get you a good deal

Post some pictures if you can. I have an old 89/90 LT250S suzuki quad (4 stroke) and it has a clutch. Never heard of Suzuki making that. They made a crap load of 230s, sure its a 250? I am interested in how you are doing it. Thanks
