Pilot axles .... interchangeable?
« on: May 29, 2005, 04:20:36 AM »
Are there differences in the left and right pilot axles? If so, what are they? Anyone know what the actual angle possible out of a stock pilot CV is?

I may have a line on an axle manufacturer willing to reproduce pilot axles with  44? movement, for a lot cheaper than the OEMs! I have to send one, but need to know if I need to send both...I have spares....but only one tranny CV end...and I don't know which it is...they look the same...but are the disc brake cup different from the other side?

The only difference between the left and right axle is the orientation of the boot clamp bands.  They are mirror images of each other.
