polaris engine in an oddyssey
« on: November 27, 2010, 01:00:26 PM »

I have a chance to pick-up a polaris sled motor for a $100 bucks. Will this thing fit and if so what do I have to do make it work?
Also, I see some of you have put the rotax 583 in your odyssey.I like to maybe do the same, but what mods am I up against...maybe I should forget the polaris motor??

Double check the price of parts for the engine. It will probably need a rebuild. An engine swap is not an easy task. There are many things to consider. The pipe and intake are usually troublesome.

i have a 488 fan in one of my odysseys, you do have to cut the frame on the sides & make engine mounts but over all was not that bad.other odyssey has a 670 mach engine still under construction.
