Flat slide carb questions!!!
« on: June 16, 2010, 12:24:49 AM »
Ok I ordered a 38mm mikuni carb to replace my stock carb on the 350 odyssey. They sent me a flat slide carb instead. Will this be ok?? I know they r for more power and response. I just want to make sure that it will be fine with all other bolt ons like reeds triple e exhaust mikuni fuel pump etc...

I prefer the Keihin PWK. The stock choke cable threads right in. I like that I can use my main jet tool to change the needle position.

I have the choke conversion kit to make it happen with the stock choke location. Gain wise though and if everything will work fine is what I am wondering.

Without porting, the carb is on the large side. You won't find much advice on baseline jetting for a Mikuni since most people are running the Keihin PWK.

jetting wont be a problem. i know how to do the runs and check the plug or do plug chops. plus i have a digitron. i wasnt sure about who uses what for the carb. absolutely everyone i know riding odyssey's has switched to a mikuni. thanks for the advice so far. its too bad not many people use this forum.
