Quiet Silencer
« on: May 29, 2004, 08:04:54 AM »
Well I FINALLY got the "quiet" silencer from Power Pros. Ha, what a joke. I didn't test it with a dB meter, but to the ear....I hear no difference. Good thing they threw it in free as a test piece  :o

LOL - you mean the long unit?

They need to call it the "Quiet? My ass!" silencer.

I think it's probably about >2% as loud as the shorty.

The Moskito tested at ~ 120 db with a 500cc setup and the long unit at Little Sahara a few years ago. (5' test on an asphault surface)  I'm  not sure how much packing was in the can, but I wanna say it was a pretty fresh unit.
Moskito - Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming \'WOW-What a Ride!\'

No this was a "special" long silencer. It utilizes their quiet core insides. It's never been used on a Pilot, so they did not know how it would work.....Performance wise I see no difference.....noise wise...same thing :0 No difference
