Just guessing (because I get the little java icon on the lower right side of my screen too) that there is inherent java script in the way the board is laid out - it's just part of the program that Lude's using for this board. It's a plug in of some sort that the php board uses.
Do a double left mouse click on it and you'll get a console that pops up with parameters like so:
