FL350 drive belt
« on: February 07, 2009, 12:22:21 PM »
Just recently bought an '85 and it runs/drives strong, but there seems to be a lot of play on the drive belt.  Checked the shop manual but no indication that there's any kind of adjustments to be made.  Is this thing just stretched and needs replacement?  How much play should there be?  I mean it seems to slip on the pulleys-that's how much play there is at this point.  Please help-thanks.

The belt does not stretch. It wears and sinks further into the driven clutch. The belt starts as 1 3/16 wide.

The Enforcer belts are very good and inexpensive.
