1990 Honda Pilot...need advice
« on: March 27, 2018, 12:48:54 PM »
Hi all,
I'm new here. Just discovered this site yesterday.
I need some advice.
My 85 year old mother-in-law asked me to sell her 1990 Pilot for her. Believe it or not, the darn thing is 100% OEM. She bought it new back in 1990. It hasn't been ridden in about 10 or 12 years, but has always been stored indoors. Other than the dust on it, it looks like new. Still has original tires with almost no wear. Only she and her daughter (my wife) were allowed to drive it. It quite honestly was never driven hard.
It still has the original tires with nearly no wear on them.
I plan to order a new battery and carb kit for it. Will drain all fluids and replace same.
I grew up working on motorcycles, quads, cars etc. so am comfortable with the work. There is zero rust or corrosion anywhere on the machine. A good wash job will make it look new again. And...it still has the packaged "spare" drive belt stored with it, but was nver needed. Original belt is in place.
My question: She is asking me what a good asking price is, but i've no idea.
This thing is as close to new as i can imagine. Can anyone give me an ide of the price range i need to be looking at for a fair selling price?
Thaks,
Rikibird
