81 fl250 help with crank seals

bought 81 FL 250 . Almost showroom condition. I need to change crank seals and am pretty mechanicaly inclined. what am I in for ? any tips and suggestions.. Is it a pretty easy job?

You'll need a clutch puller and flywheel puller to get to them. I have replaced crank seals by driving self tapping screws in then pulling out. Put some Vaseline inside new seals to lube until the oil can get to them.

On the FL250 you have to spilt the case to get at the seals on the FL350 it's much easy'er to get at them . If your going to split the case check your bearings it's a good time to change them to if you have any play in them
