Front end questions
« on: May 31, 2015, 08:30:11 PM »
Steve,
I've been doing some adjusting to my aftershock LT kit, I've got it to the point where it's aprox 1/2" toe in and about 3/4"-1" from the rims hitting the top arms at full lock.
There is some discrepancy between the two sides, but it's not bad, I'm assuming it's just manufacturing tolerances.
But I have question, what are your ideal settings? And on the end links that go to the spindles the link bolts are too long to sit flush against the mount, should I just trim?
Thanks Joe.

I'm not sure on the 350... I do know that on my pilot, the angle of the tie rods, which will be effected by the depth of those bolts, played a very crucial role in tuning the suspension... My optimal bumpsteer setting had the wheels towed out slightly at full droop, straight at ride height, and back to slight tow out at full compression. It's pretty much impossible to get no tow change, but the trick is getting it to change as little as possible, and in a manner that it doesn't effect the handling...

Trim the bolts, don't add the spacers. The spacers will alter the geometry.
