Fl350 frame
« on: May 07, 2014, 10:53:52 PM »
I saw this odyssey and noticed the frame was quite a bit different than a stock one. It was interesting so I went and looked at it and ended up buying it. The lower portion of the frame looks to be the same as a normal odyssey fl350 but the top is not. The guy said that it was bought like that.  I was just wondering if anybody knows what it is.

Looks like someone just made a new cage... Looks like a good job too... I like it.... I would just about bet that it was raced flat track at one time... If I am not mistaken, some rules won't allow bolted roll cages for competition use.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking but what's weird is the guy had another one that had the same cage design as this one. That makes sense though for the flat track racing. Never thought about that...

I've heard on those before but don't know much about them. What exactly is triple E?

Triple E was (is?) a company that modified Odysseys for racing.
The usual 'my two cents' disclaimer applies. :)

Triple E is not around any more. Ed and his wife retired. There was a heated thread where turbotexas was trying to find Ed's personal contact info to ask him questions and Atvnut was pointing out how rude that was.
