please help...I finally got spark but still cant get this thing started. ive even tried pouring a little fuel in the spark plug hole and starting fluid but nothing but an occasional backfire. I thought maybe it could be my fuel pump or lines, (I had to replace the tank & currently using a 1 gallon aluminum tank) but I am using clear fuel lines & can see the fuel going through it, its not a steady flow but when I pull on the starter it flows more. thank you

1ST OF ALL IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU NEED TO ADJUST YOUR POINTS BECAUSE IF THEY ARE NOT ADJUSTED CORRECTLY YOU WILL GET A BACKFIRE. Then if you have checked that and it still don't start and you have spark, then I could almost guarantee you that you have too much 2-stroke oil in the fuel mixture that is causing a wet foul of you plugs. The plug will not fire because the oil is fouling it out. Add some straight fuel to the tank and try it again
