FL250 water cooled head
« on: September 23, 2013, 03:29:10 AM »
Has anybody used these water cooled heads on the FL250 and did you have to install a small circulation pump on them? I have just installed a water cooled head on mine and a guy said that you should install a small pump off the stator to get good flow. I have just got my engine out of the shop and have had the whole lower end rebuilt almost 1200.00 bucks with of machine work and new parts and I want this thing to last for years to come. Any thought or suggestions are welcome and any pics are greatly appreciated as well.

You should not need a pump if the radiator is of sufficient size, has vertical tubes with the tanks at top and bottom. Hose must be connected, top to top/back of head, bottom to bottom/front of head.
