maybe a carb problem........
« on: April 08, 2013, 01:26:17 PM »
I have an fl350r with a gravity feed fuel system with the fuel pump that works off of vacuum. I started the odyssey up this weekend and let it warm up. I was driving it down the street and it was bogging down .

last time i rode it it ran just fine and it idles all day long with no problems

Does anyone have any ideas ?

I there were no changes since the last time ridden, then I would assume the setup is working. Even adding gas with a gravity feed would be a change though.

Is there fuel leaking out of the carb? Have you check compression? Does the bog seem speed/RPM related or throttle position related?

That takes out it being a change switch/reverse rev limiter issue.

It could be low on power. You could check compression. It could also be that the clutch is upshifting too fast if one of the clutch springs is broken.
