stix's new engine
« on: December 27, 2011, 09:44:47 PM »
Stix sold one of his pilots and bought him self a project in place of it after dunning a quads and "said not for me". Thought I would share some ugly pics of the cylinder. He has ask me to clean it up fit a new piston and go ahead and do a little moding. So I went to OKC and picked up teh rest of teh engine to have some fun. I'll post up pics of the rest of the rebuild as it progesses now that christmas is over and have more time to play.

These are pics of teh cylinder the way he bought it.

Now that I have a clean cylinder to work with. First I'll make a port map and measure up the ports to start calculating the port timing before making any changes. After the changes are made the final bore and hone will take place once the piston and rings arrive. While doing the maping and calculating I'll start checking out the bottom end tareing it down for new parts. The bottom end will be recieving new bearing seals ect. The crank will be rebuilt and fresh. The head work will be done or at least thats the plan.

I see them all. It is allowed and I even opened it up to allow hot linking. You can right click on an image and copy the url then embed on another forum.

Hoodlum, try logging out and looking. I will check if something is messed up in your security settings for the board. Do you have this problem on multiple computers?
