What RPM does it engage at?
What RPM does the engine go to after engagement?

What cam arms are in it? What spring is in it? What belt are you running?

Red spring , cam arm A2 17, 1 5/16'' belt

engage at 3600 RPM .

go on the top to 7000-7200 RPM .

Top speed 70 kmh .

No wheel spin , no punch !, no performance.

3600 seems like a low engagement. I believe stock is 3800 on a 583 trail sled and you might want a little higher than that.

I would try a heavier spring.

This is with the stock driven clutch? I'm not sure if an 1 5/16 belt will fit all the way down into a stock driven.

I have a 583 with a 108EXP in my 2000 Formula Cross. It uses an Arctic Cat roller driven though. That will change the calibration needed. I would get a Heel Clicker clutch kit so that you can tweak the tune little by little for slow, medium and high speed. You add/remove weight in different locations on the clutch arms.

I was discussing your situation with someone today and he made a suggestion which I think was a very good idea. Remove the springs from your drive and driven clutches. Manually press the movable sheave of your drive clutch in to get full shift out. You will then be able to answer the question of if your clutches CAN fully shift out regardless of your calibration.

It is my opinion that the helix in your driven clutch will bottom out before the belt can go in far enough to allow full shift out. If that is the case, I think you will need to modify the helix to allow the belt to go into the clutch more.
