How did the EFI respond to the higher Temperatures. Did you have to buy a Programmable CCU. Also How did you get the Pipe to sync with the EFI
Wow - I must have missed this one
Anyhow better late than never - I guess...
The EFI ran flawlessly even at the higher temps and lower elevations...
I used everything stock from the Cat - Brain Box, Fuel Rails, sensors, plugs, fuel pump ect... (I even left the oil injector hooked up)
I did run a mostly open intake K&N with a UNI filter wrap.
The exhaust was stock Cat with a few little mods - I had to angle the 2-1 exhaust manifold down a little sharper and I also made the expansion chamber of the pipe angle down some, otherwise it pointed towards the sky (oh yea I just use a short little silencer not the cat).
I'm guessing my exhaust mods cost me some HP but I believe the 1999 ZR600 cat was rated a little over 100HP so even if I lost 25HP I had plenty to spare...
I actually really liked that motor - I hope the 2000 EFI 580 cat motor I have is similiar... I hope to be dropping that into a basket case pilot sometime this summer....(plus my 580 has electric start - Yippee)
